IHA Final Art: Great Lakes

This week we're unveiling of the winning logo sets for each team in the IHA Project. This week we've looked at the final artwork for the Atlantic, West, Northeast and Pacific Divisions. Today we're on to the Great Lakes to finish out the week.

Below are the logos you selected for the IHA. On the left is the team's primary logo. To the right is the secondary and the wordmark is beneath it. Under the graphic is the designer's credit.

Sigma Kappa

Roccot

Couple of changes to this division. As I mentioned before, at the request of the league operator, the Capitals and Knights have swapped colors. The Knights are now blue. Also, based on the logo that won for the Brigade, the orange was changed to red.

To all the winning designers: If you would like your credit changed or a link added, please don't hesitate to let me know. Since you aren't being compensated in any other way for all your work, the least I can do is offer a link to your web site, blog or online portfolio — just in case certain eyes are looking. You never know. However, if you would like to remain anonymous, that's fine too.

Next week you'll vote on the Central Division logos and the following week I'll post the final designs and this project will be over. I look forward to seeing artwork from the same talented designers for the next project!

The Toronto Knights secondary looks familiar.

Even with the switch from Orange to Red, the Brigade logos are in the top class of the IHA.

Sadly, none make a huge impression with me. I think the Brigade is the best set, with buffalo close second.

Toronto Knights secondary is very similar to one of Rutgers' logos. too bad.

Brigade secondary is absolutely fantastic. Great job!

GAH!! I had a long post prepared, but it got deleted because the website had an error. So, in a nutshell: I love the Bison primary and Knights secondary. The Knights primary is still a nice design, but the dimensions length and width for me are too lopsided for it to be an effective primary logo. I still like that one as an alternate design though.

I really love the Knights' wordmark. I'm absolutely crazy about that old English-style font.

Everything looks amazing. However I think the Legions and the Knights are too similar. But everything still looks really good.

Well thank god this tournament is fictional! Because quite a bit of these wouldn't work on a jersey/real life. The Detroit Legion logo is sooooooo detailed, that it would look awful as stiching on a jersey.

I agree Chris that maybe we should show what the whole pack looks like before voting for our tournament. Simply because a few of these look like the same logo only slightly different. Plus, we get a better idea of how they look when they're large enough for us to see. I wouldn't have voted for a few of these that I did, knowing what they look like full size.

Still absolutely love the Columbus Brigade. The word mark needs to be better but the rest is awesome.

All of these logos are fantastic. However, going into the final division, I would like to see the artists incorporate hockey a little bit more into the design of their logos. Some of my favorite NHL logos (Pittsburgh, San Jose, Colorado, and Washington) have incorporated either a puck or stick into their logos. Thus far, the Hartford Bears are the only IHA team to have incorporated hockey images into the design of their logos.

The Toronto Knights logos are pretty sweet.

I think the Columbus word mark is fine... simple, yes, but I like it.

The Toronto Knights is a pretty blatant rip-off of the old AF2 Macon Knights

The Bison secondary looks like half buffalo half Deer :S

I don't like when they put a piece of hockey equipment in the logos...we know its hockey - Maybe the Legionnaire could be fighting with a hockey stick...or the the Generals with crossed hockey sticks...or the Bison eating a bucket of pucks...it just wouldn't look right

Aside from that...these are another set of nice looking logos - Good job folks!!!

Generals: Draws enough from the Canadian military rank insignia but at the same time different enough. It's much more original than the N.J. Generals from the United States Football League. Well done!

The Buffalo Bison are already a minor league baseball team. U should change the name and logo to Buffalo Wings. Is it great, no. At least its not a total rip off.

the toronto knights logo looks likwe rutgers with different colors

@HotShotInferno94 - the problem with calling them the Buffalo Wings is that there was already a hockey team with that name... well, a roller hockey team anyway.
