Where these all made by the same artist?
Yeah i think so. cant blame chris though thats a hard name to do art for.
My first definite no-vote.Hey Chris, how was the Tropical Storm experience? Hope everything is well.
I like the middle one best, even though are all very similar.
I think it was at some point influenced by the MLS Seattle Sounders FC logo
typical...The first one is a knock off of the Super Sonics "S"And there are other buildings in Seattle btw...
Would've been nice to see a Bigfoot dressed up as a millionaire or something.
its soo hard to vote for this one..they all look the same! But i went with number 2. Cant wait to see my Vancouver team tommorow!
Meh-tropolitans. Too similar, but what're you gonna do. #2's evokes a metropolitan skyline the best with the skyscraper-like shading of the M so that has my vote.Out of the three it's looks the most suitable for a primary crest. I can't recall any vertical oval logos in hockey, so it doesn't seem to me like it would work out well (Montreal and Carolina's have oval logos, but they're horizontal)
The logos are very well done, I just wish there was more variety. No one decided to make logos for this team? Sad. I went with #2.
#1 and #3 would work as home/away logos. But my vote goes to #2
I cant vote for any IHA logos because the script doesn't load for the 'vote' button!
i created a logo for this team but i didnt think it was good enough to send in. now i think i should've anyway. dang!
what to choose? what to choose...? Be nice if on one of them they tried a different needle. I had more of a problem with that than the other elements. Was there really only one artist who entered a logo here?
I sent in two logos for Seattle. I think one of mine was good, but these are still better.
ugggh cant stand the colours!i think i voted fo the s oneand if your vote box isnt therepress the grey box
#2... the M being made to look like buildings works well with the "Metropolitans" name. Still would have like to see some different ideas from this, but I agree it's a tough name to work with. Maybe if someone ripped off the starbucks logo?
I made many logo's but my seattle one was my best and it pains me to see the SAME logo as our three choices. So sad.#2 will win,...so lets put that one up against two other artists.what do you think?
To be fair, it's not easy to come up with an image for a name like "Metropolitans"...So the same guy did all three (duh), but THEY'RE STILL GOOD!I can see why #2 is leading...the "M" with the Space Needle in the middle looks like some skyscrapers.Looking forward to tomorrow though, so I can see the Vancouver Dynamo's choices (they should be good!)
.... these are all the same. Great variety there, Chris. This blog is getting more dull each day... I think I'm going to take a break from it too....
Please, give Chris a break. This blog isn't his job. I'm sure you wouldn't imagine how much time he has spent on this blog.He is a human, let him be.
These all have to have been submitted by the same artist.. the Needle is the same in every design, and they all have the same white star. Not only that, but the only difference between #1 and #3 is the letter and the location of the star.
Did any of you who are complaining ever stop and think that these might have been the only 3 logo designs Chris may have received for this team? (besides Lucas' who said these were better anyway and Trevor's)He can only put into the poll what he receives. If he gets so-so logos he's going to have to put up so-so logos. It's not his fault.
@ogre39666: If I'm reading Trevor's comment correctly, he submitted a logo for this which is none of the three. In any case, whether this is all Chris had to choose from or he just did a horrible job of winnowing down to three, the fact remains that there's no point in voting on this one, so I'm not going to.
@ S.D.I acknowledged Trevor's said logo (although we know nothing of its quality, just that it exists). And my comment was in no way meant to be a defense of the logos in this poll; I was just trying to add some perspective to some of the complaints I was reading.
