Quick note. I've been looking into a problem with the polls. Apparently folks using Internet Explorer are not seeing the formatting of the polls on the blog properly. This includes colors, sizing, layout and most notably, the all-important vote button. I'm looking into a solution for this.
As a temporary fix, you can still vote by making a selection like normal and then clicking the grey box next to the View Results link. Not all of the polls in the pollbar are being affected. It's a weird problem. I'm working on it.
UPDATE (12:27 PM): Polls are back to normal now. The problem was the section with the results from previous pollls. I thought it'd be nice feature to have but I guess it was adversely affecting IE. So it's gone now. Anyway, problem solved. (But now the star ratings for each post seem to be gone. Working on it.)
People using Internet Explorer need to get Firefox or Safari...
ReplyDeleteYeah right. I'm not gonna switch cause of some vote button.
ReplyDeleteserves them right for using a crappy server
ReplyDeleteMozilla > Safari > Explorer.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know they was even an internet war going for internet browsers. Seriously, why do you care what other people use?
ReplyDeleteJust trying to hell others see the light is all ;P
ReplyDeleteFirefox all the way. Been using it for probably 5+ years now and never felt the urge to go back. Use Firefox for just a couple of days and you'll never want to use Exploder again.
Mozilla > Safari > Explorer.

Firefox is more secure, easier to use, and did I mention more secure? IE is chock full of security holes, and firefox isn't. It also speaks a lot to the usability of firefox that the latest IE is a virtual clone of the Firefox interface.
ReplyDeleteDoes IE have a built in spell check?
Ask the people who actually know computers. IE is pretty much crap.
IE6 > Firefox > IE7 > poop > safari
ReplyDeletemy main computer still uses IE6, which i still think is the pinnacle of internet, balancing simplicity with ability.
since that computer's monitor crapped out, i'm on my laptop, where i was forced to try IE7. it sucks. so here i am on firefox.
i guess my argument is helped by the fact that i hate tabs...
