What happened to crest emblem displayed a few posts down in the middle?

ReplyDeleteThe top left non-finalist is the best. The bold purple B with the gold crown on top. Very clean, very nice logo...should have been a finalist.

I too am wondering where the 2nd finalst went from the earlier post, was my fav. I find the first two non-finalists too similar to Budweiser, it'd be good if it were a beer-league team maybe :).
ReplyDeleteIm very suprised that my Skull logo is there. I like Number 2 alot and Non Finalist 1 is a good one as well . Im very shocked. Honestly im going to vote for Non Finalist 1.

ReplyDeleteLook at the crown on non finalist 1 and the New finalist 2. I bet there from the same set. and that the B is really the Secondary for the finalist 2 lion.
ReplyDeleteI agree that I miss the old #2 finalist. Somebody pointed out that the lion on shield design is similar to a logo in the english soccer leagues, but that is because it is a very common design for teams. I think you will find that there is a large number of soccer teams that incorporate that lion into their coat of arms. I don't see it as a lack of originality at all - I think it is a great idea to bring in some of that classic royal design to a hockey league.

ReplyDeletei chose the first non-finalist, the purple B with the crown and gold accents. maybe just slap it on a shield but i think that's the best one. out of the 3 finalists though i'd go #3
ReplyDeleteThe first non-finalist (bold 'b' with crown) was my secondary logo for the second finalist (lion with crown) as pointed out by Mike Phoenix. When I sent it in last night i forgot to label primary and secondary so Chris probably thought that they were both primary logos.
ReplyDeleteAdam - I was considering putting the 'b' logo on a shield (and still can however probably can't be counted) however after coming up with the last minute design yesterday i was tired and decided not to go with the shield

I chose #2, I thought it was a great replacement for the old #2. I like the ideas of adding the lions, I also really like non-finalist #3.

ReplyDeleteI went with finalist # 2. There are a lot of good ones for this team but I feel finalist #2 would make the best primary while the others are best suited to be secondaries (like non finalists top row left and middle, middle row right, and the bottom row).

ReplyDeleteI voted for #2 but my preference as well is for the original #2 with the lion.
ReplyDeleteVoting for Non-Finalist #7, the silver "R" on the purple and yellow shield. Comments on the others: F#1 - The Grateful Dead called and want you to come back. F#2 - Too windblown. F#3 - Too striped. NF#1 - Is that supposed to be the letter "B" or "R" in that scripty font?

ReplyDeleteNon-Finalist #1 for me. But like several others, I would vote for the original Finalist #2 had it not been yanked.
ReplyDeleteI don't know, That is one of the logos i really liked. Thought that he would have pulled the skull one but should have at least put it as one of the non-finalists
